Ghost-Dwarf Golem

This is my own idea / design .. i wanted to create an dwarfen race that is soooo damn old, that they already stopped to exist in flesh n bone. They are nothing more then an entire overaged civilization that lives as ghosts in crystal shards which are safely treasured in large caves under their old mountain cities. When they need to leave those city - chambers the shards are plugged into mechanical golem bodies. Also i thought about adding some native american culture to the social concept of the dwarfs .. just because i haven't seen this combo yet
